Yesterday we celebrated the anniversary. March 12 2010 is the second year since Bill had his hemorrhagic stroke. No news is good news. We got glass fireplace doors for each other and I went to Mission Burrito for dinner. It was a very good day.
Today we worked outside in the garden since the weather is beautiful. We really didn't loose many plants to the winter. We did decide to take up the 25 Mexican Heathers we had....due to the major bee interest. We have way to many grandchildren playing back there to take a chance.
Bill is the boss and I just do what he tells me. When I am finished he hoses it down and we admire our good work. We look forward to our time in the garden.

Mardi Gras Visit
We had a great Mardi Gras treat. Don & Darlene Sixkiller came to visit on Saturday and stayed till Tuesday. They bought Bill & I our favorite dinner from Rocky & Carlo's....Bill gets baked macaroni with veal pamesan on top. I get the veal cutlet and macaroni. They got them packed to travel & put it all in a ice chest. We had a feast. In fact Bill & I got 3 more meals out of the left overs. Bill knew they were coming but not the Rocky's food. We really enjoyed it.
They spoiled us...........Hubigs Who-Dat Apple pies,Fleur de Lis cokes,Bunny Bread,Brownies,Coffee cake, Super Bowl newspapers and even a Saints Crawfish.
Best of all a wonderful few days that felt like the old days. We forgot for a short time about everything and just enjoyed our time with our good friends. We looked thru old band photos...and talked about who looks the same and who looks the oldest. Bill had the idea to take them to eat at Fogo de Chao..Brazelian steakhouse like no other. The food was good and the company better.
It was a beautiful sunny but cool day. We enjoyed the ride...even Bill. We took them to see Main Street in Tomball and Lori's SnoBall stand. She called and was on the way to our house. So she met us in Tomball and we all did a little shopping.
Greg made Don a copy of the Nobles 50th Birthday Party DVD.
Oh, how nice it was for a few days to turn back the hands of time.
Bill seemed to get a brust of addreline...he talked quite a bit...ate very well...stayed up way more hours than on average...smiled alot...and was as sharp as a whip...a pleasure for all of us to see how well he is...now I hope it lasts.
We said Good Bye and promised to see each more often. Thanks for coming & love ya lots.

So much for global warming...hell froze over !!!!
Who Dat...................
We are so happy to have enjoyed the Saints win the Super Bowl !!
We had the whole gang here and Bill stayed up in his lift chair and his wheelchair for the entire game. No emotion shown during the game he just quietly enjoyed all the yelling and celebrating of each play. Greg helped us out when a play was about to happen he would yell "look at the TV". Well by the second half he didn't need to get anybodies attention we were all eyes on the TV.
When the game ended....Greg was holding Maddie....I was holding Natalie....Lori jumped up and hugged & kissed her Dad....Then Tina took hold of the wheelchair and was dancing around with Bill....Bill only moved his right hand with the index finger extended to the music....but the smile...was one we will not soon forget.....it's been 2 years since we have seen him that happy.
Everybody was wearing anything they owned Saints. Some wore just shirts, others just hats, Victoria has the entire cheerleader suit. Best of all........everybody was excited and wearing huge Who Dat smiles.
I had my usual shrimp boil, Greg said he needed that New Orleans feel, so he brought Popeyes chicken & sides, Lori made us her delicious hot tamales. We ate well and a good time was had by all.
Much thanks to family & friends for the Care packages, they made us feel like we were really in the game and right at home. We even got a delicious king from Julie & the girls. We have lots of newspapers and will be reading them for a long time.
Maurice sent a note telling his story of how he got tickets and he & Nancy were going to Miami. We spoke to him on Saturday and he said it was crazy there too. He said the thinks he could explode with joy and excitement.
During the game and after we all got so many text messages & phone calls everybody telling us about what was going on in the city and in their neighborhoods. Texans even got in on the excitment.
Our next door neighbor Bob was our first phone call...he called to say that last big play he sent Sean Payton that message. The Saints thank you for your help. He was so happy for the Saints to win.
Rick called to say in Metairie after the game everybody ran out of their houses. If they horns they blew them. If they had fireworks they were shooting them. If nothing else they were just yelling and celebrating. Rick & his krewe headed for the Quarter only to be stuck in a very happy gridlock.
Julie described it as a evacuation in reverse....everybody trying to get into the city.
Don & Darlene said the garbage days were pushed back and school closed and they had applied for a block party permit and they live in Pearl River.
Babes said the noise and fireworks where crazy in Baton Rouge at Mike's house, too.
Shirley sent us 3 very nice pieces of art to frame and hang so we can always remember the day our family celebrated the Saints winning the Super Bowl !!
My favorite memory ....was after all the celebrating of the win. The room quieted down. Lori with a burst of excitement announced she just got a text message that there will be a parade on Tuesday for the Saints. Let's go home she yelled.
Bill yelled back....let's go !!!
Thanks Saints for the memories.

Advice to all.......
Simple..........
Love, whoever you love, man, woman or children. Love them harder, kiss and hug more often, go for longer rides and just listen to the music your hearts are making because you took the time out of your busy life, just to cherish each other a little more often. Celebrate each other more often. Make more Valentine Day's.
I worked with a lady years ago at Prudential, Margaret Hughes, she is a realtor. I wanted something special to give to Bill for our anniversary. She suggested I give him a day timer with special notes about memories shared and cute little love notes. I did it....it was such fun to think and remember 365 loving thoughts that we shared over the years. You know like on the dates your children were born something special from that day that maybe only the two of you shared. When I started I filled in the special occassion dates first those were easy. Once I got started it just rolled along. I would be driving, working, grocery shopping and all of a sudden I would think of the most special love note that I couldn't wait to get home to write it in Bill's daytimer for next year. I don't know how much of the book he read...he never mentioned it much but I cannot tell you what good marriage therapy it was for me. So now I look back and wish I had done more things like that and taken more time to tell him how happy I am he came into my life.
I'm sitting here crying while writing so I guess this must be therapy too. I don't miss Bill, because I still have him. But I miss the life we had together ...........so much. I just feel the need to tell everybody don't take that wonderful life for granite. Celebrate it everyday day. Make more memories together. They help me get thru the hard days.
I guess the lirics from "Live like your Dying" mean alot more to me now. Also a song I always loved to hear the Nobles play but I never knew why I loved it so much, " I'm lonely but nobody know it but me". Oh, the best the George Jones song, "He stopped loving her today". Years and years ago, I was sitting in a bar in one of those old hotels on Tulane Ave., back when they were OK. They had karioke night, The Mag 7 and were sitting, drinking and singging along, when this guy came up and sang that song I had never heard it before and I started crying. It is a very sad song of a very deep love lost.
Oh great it's 7:30AM and I already need my anti-depressant pill....oh, can you tell.
Love Ya Lots

I enjoyed this so much I'm passing it on..........
On facebook...a Noble friend Glenn Accardo shared this thought:
If you watch the movie Jaws backwards.........
it's the story of a whale that is sick and pucks up people,,,,,,,,,,
he gets so sick........they have to build him a beach !!!!!!!!!
Think about it.
No news same old ........same old..........just another day. No progress in physical activity in fact it seems he has regressed back to maximum assist on transfers. Appetite not as good as usual. Still not much to say and voice is not much more than a whisper.
On a lighter note: Towne Lake had a car show they got 98 cars in spite of the cold weather. Bill really enjoyed it we went up and down the rows several times. He really knows his makes and models even. Go figure you just never know which pieces are missing. We thought of Dean...he & Bill attended a few car shows together and they had a blue truck alot like Dean's but a slightly older year. The oldies were playing and for a little while it felt good, like the old days. Bill had a good time and we talked alot about the cars.

We got new hats to wear today !
Yes, believe it or not. At a very young age.....we became great grandparents today.
Abby gave us a new baby girl.....
Name: Natalie Annette
Date: January 16th 2010
Time: 12:32 AM
Weight: 6 lbs. 12 ozs.
Length: 19 inches
Abby and baby are doing fine and resting comfortably. Abby said Natalie has not cried yet...just a couple of fretting sounds and then off to sleep.
Natalie has a head full of jet black beautiful hair. I'm sure she is as beautiful as our Abby.
